This page explains which data is processed when you visit First Class Report and what happens to it. It is an English version of our German Datenschutzerklärung.

No cookies, no tracking

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tools. There is no login, no comment section and no contact form. The newsletter is covered in its own section below. Fonts and all other files come from our own server; we do not embed content from other providers.

Some articles contain a calculator. It runs only in your browser. Your entries are neither transmitted nor stored.

When you subscribe to our free newsletter, we store your email address, the time of subscription, the page on which you subscribed and information about where your visit came from, for example UTM parameters. We use this data to send you the First Class Report newsletter with new articles and information about our offers.

The data is stored in our own newsletter system on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. Emails are sent through Amazon Simple Email Service in the Frankfurt region; the provider is Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, Luxembourg. We count whether links in our emails are clicked in order to improve the newsletter.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future, using the unsubscribe link in every email or by emailing us. After you unsubscribe, we keep your address only on a suppression list so that you receive no further emails.

Hosting and server logs

The website runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. When you open a page, the server stores technically necessary access data in log files: IP address, time, requested address, status code, amount of data transferred, the previously visited page (referrer) and your browser's identifier. The logs serve security and troubleshooting and are deleted after 14 days. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contact by email

If you write to us, we process your details to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Our mailbox runs on Google Workspace by Google. We delete your details once they are no longer needed for this purpose and no statutory retention periods apply.

Links to other websites

Articles link to other websites, for example to authorities, sources, arturneumann.com and neumannterminal.com. Data is only processed there once you follow a link. The privacy policy of the respective website applies. This also applies to the free report you request on arturneumann.com.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
